RECENT POSTS:

Thank you Daniel

Pro wrestling is fake. Nothing you see is really happening because no one really dislikes each other; they're all best friends behind the scenes. The moves aren't a big deal because there's no actual contact being made and whenever you see blod? Well that's blood capsules, that's not real either.

Heard all of that before, right? We all have. But just as ignorant people say ignorant things about the business we love, they're also saying something else right now; Daniel Bryan is real. There's nothing phony about him.

Finally some truth.

Bryan is the kind of guy you would love to have as your best friend. He's positive, he's happy, he's funny and he's outgoing. His smile lights up the room and his attitude enters that same room long before he does.

He's loyal, he's brave and he's fearless. He would be the first one to stand between you and a bully on the playground even though that bully towers over him. You probably do too.

But most important of all? He loves life and he never takes anything for granted. He's thankful for what he has. If only we could all be like that. That Daniel Bryan knows what it is to take what life gives and make the best of it. He knows that you only get one shot so you better make it count.

That Daniel Bryan is also now beginning a new chapter outside of a professional wrestling ring. As much as we didn't want to see him go, it was the right thing to do.

I've been in locker rooms where grizzled veterans were slow to get up, where lacing the boots required more grunting and groaning than necessary. I watched those same veterans get in the ring and take bump after bump, entertaining the crowd and giving everything they have to put smiles on kids' faces.

They did just that every time.

But what is the quality of life for these men? How many can't work anymore and now cannot walk unassisted? How many times have fans begged retired veterans to come back for one more match without any regard for their well being?

We're a selfish bunch, that much is true. But as much as we all wanted Bryan to come back and tear the house down again, he must do what's best for his health and for his family. Of course that won't stop us from begging him for one more.

It will happen; it always does.

We just can't move on, it's too hard. It's too hard because we know that Bryan is indeed a good man that genuinely loves the business and every fan that's ever supported him. Daniel did everything he could to make an impact and he did so much more than that.

He changed the game, not only for WWE but for fans as well.

Now we want another one. We want another guy that comes up from the high school gyms and the Legion Halls the way Bryan did. We want that guy to love what he does, to be above the politics of WWE and just be there because he's earned it. We want that guy to give us the same kind of feeling that Bryan did, to be able to look into his eyes and know that he's having the time of his life.

The only thing a pro wrestler can hope to do is leave the business better than when he got there and that's exactly what Daniel Bryan did.

But he did so much more. He affected everyone that ever came in contact with him and he made fans believe in the power of pro wrestling again. He made us believe it can be great like it used to be, when Dusty faced Ric and Piper faced Valentine. He made us want to feel that rush again and he did that just be being himself.

He gave us someone to cheer for, not because we had been programmed to but because he deserved it. Now he's moving on and we're left searching for the next hero that will not be able to fill his shoes. Daniel is one of a kind and he can never be replaced.

Daniel Bryan is real, there is nothing phony about him. Gotta love that truth.
